Site Manager

Responsibilities:  Evaluates, in conjunction with the Division Manager and/or General Manager, the site and service requirements in order to develop an operational plan for the hauling company, landfill, recyclery or transfer station. Implements a sales strategy including new sales, identification of revenue sources, maintaining customer relationships and implementing price increases. Monitors current status vs. budget for P&L, capital expenditures and accounts receivable and develops realistic attainable action items for areas needing improvement. Responsible for the overall compliance of the site's operations within permit conditions and interacting with regulatory agencies that are responsible for monitoring the status of compliance. Conducts routine site inspections. Responsible for the execution, follow up, and sustainability of planned operating improvements. Recruits, selects and hires employees as needed. Performs/checks all necessary items in hiring procedures. Responsible for the efficient and safe work activities of all division employees, providing assistance to managers, supervisors and employees with their needs, resolving problems and concerns as required. Communicates company policies to employees. Ensures positive morale of division employees. Ensures the division maintains quality customer service and is responsive to customer needs through active participation of all division managers, supervisors and employees. Responsible for coordinating operational activities with other departments and divisions within the district such as collections, maintenance, safety, disposal sites for the efficient processing of materials received at the facility. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.  Qualifications:  Required Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree required. Minimum of 4 years management and job-related experience including experience in sales, operations and/or maintenance functions required. Significant previous experience working around construction sites or heavy equipment requiring awareness of health and safety requirements. Landfill operator license required, if responsible for a landfill. An equivalent combination of education, experience and certification may be considered. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects required. Ability to plan for and execute planned improvements and action items required. Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills required. Effective interpersonal communication across various levels of the organization and with external customers and vendors required. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations required. Knowledge of DOT, OSHA and other related regulations required. Strong motivational and leadership skills required.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's or associate’s degree preferred. Valid Class A or B CDL preferred. EOE M/F/D/V
