Take charge as you provide leadership, communication and coaching to employees ensuring world-class customer service to all customers by managing the day-to-day operations at the district level. This position reports to the District Manager, where you will be responsible to establish and maintain cost management within the district by improving performance metrics of the operations and productivity.
Responsibilities also include complying and ensuring adherence to WM standards and OSHA, EPA and DOT regulations, meeting all required district, market area and corporate directed programs in a timely fashion, training/developing managers for future advancement, assisting in creating a positive team-oriented environment, and ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of the facility and equipment.
Minimum Candidate Attributes
Qualifications include a 2-year college degree and a minimum of 5 years of related progressive management experience; or a 4-year college degree and/or an advanced degree and a minimum of 3 years related progressive management experience; or 6 years management experience in transportation or related field. Working knowledge of federal, state and local laws governing equal employment opportunity and civil rights, occupational safety and health, wage and hour issues, DOT and labor relations. A valid California driver's license is required.
