Route Manager-Orange County

From Everyday Collection To Environmental Protection, Think Green...Think Waste Manangement!

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Supervise the activities of drivers to ensure that quality of service and job performance is maintained.

· Investigate accidents/injuries.  Complete reports; determine cause, preventability and action required to prevent future occurrences.

· Hold regular tailgate meetings with drivers to improve safety performance.

· Take active role in all monthly safety meetings and training classes for employees.

· Perform required safety and landfill observations.

· Inspect assigned equipment weekly to ensure compliance with the law and safety.

· Review productivity reports for accuracy.  Analyze reports for productivity improvement opportunities and take actions required to ensure improvements.

· Ensure routes are sequenced for maximum productivity and quality service.

· Review time cards daily to ensure compliance with California Law and company Standards.

· Resolve all customer complaints; take action to prevent future occurrences.

· Close all service and customer notes daily.

· Develop and manage budget and productivity goals.

· Must be highly motivated, self-starter, team player, willing to work hours required to maintain service and productivity standards.

· Maintain Service Machine Gold Standards.

· Other duties as assigned.

 Work Experience and/or Education Required:

· MINIMUM HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA REQUIRED, college degree highly desired.

· Ability to obtain Class “B” California Drivers license.

· Ability to write reports and perform mathematical calculations.

· Good oral and written communication skills.

· Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.

· Good computer skills required.  Knowledge of Windows, Excel and Word desired.

 

Wage/Salary: Commensurate with Experience
