Market Area Fleet Manager

The role of this position is to lead, implement and monitor the maintenance processes that support operations that maximize fleet performance, while reducting operating costs.  This position reports directly to the Market Area GM and is reponsible for supporting the achievement of company objectives in the area of investor, customer and employee value.  This position also has a dotted-line responsibility to the Group Fleet Director to support all Fleet service initatives.

 

Responsibilities:Prioritize and communicate replacement capital needs.Sell and manage all assets within the Market Area to Corporate standards.Work in concert with Group and Corporate Fleet Services.Champion preventive maintenance programs, training purchasing, safety, compliance and Fleet Services initiatives that affect the cost structures of the business.Assist in the development of shop personnel and staffing requirements.Implement cost reduction, customer and employee initiatives that drive value and support key company goals and strategic objectives.Implement long-term pans into day-to-day operations.Implement planning activities to optimize ROI through effective training and utilization of people and assets.Implement maintenance action plans that utilize cost drivers of the business and performance metrics to effect change.Implement key processes to effectively drive profitability.Implement shop performance improvements.Monitor the effectiveness of relevant company programs by tracking and offering timely feedback to improve performance.Monitor compliance to company, regulatory, safety and maintenance standards during site visits.
