Landfill Site Manager

Santek Environmental, Inc. is accepting resumes in response to an opening at its North Georgia location for a Landfill Site Manager.  This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations and governmental regulation compliance as outlined below:

 Direct hourly employees including scheduling, hiring, disciplinary action, and safety Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the property Manage the budget and operational cost and assist Regional Manager in budget process Track waste volume and weight Coordinate ongoing construction, permits, and leachate/gas management Liaison with federal regulators and maintain community relationships Conducting/attending safety meetings Build positive employee relations through employee development and motivation

 

The qualified candidate must have at least a high school diploma or GED with 3 years related management experience in solid waste disposal services or related field plus 2 years supervisory experience. College degree is a plus. This position must be able to read blueprints and construction specifications, requires strong verbal and written communication skills, and must have proven problem solving abilities.

 

The ideal candidate will be SWANA certified with quality assurance and OSHA/HAZMAT training. Should have good customer service skills with internal and external customers.

 

The person chosen for this position must have a valid drivers license and be willing to travel 20% of the time.
