Veterinary Technician/Technician Assistant

VETERINARY TECHNICIAN/TECHNICIAN ASSISTANT.  Immediate opening.  Join an experienced, friendly staff in a family practice atmosphere.  We are a highly respected, 20-year old, family owned practice in beautiful Northern Virginia (Burke).  We are a small animal/pocket pet practice.  We also provide vet care for area wildlife rehabilitators (mostly raptors) and police canines.  Burke is centrally located to professional, recreational, educational, cultural, historical and scenic amenities.  Looking for an outgoing, organized candidate who has a mind for detail, a compassionate heart, a ready smile and a sense of humor.  Applicant must be highly motivated to accept multiple responsibilities to ensure the smooth and timely flow of daily operations and help minimize doctors' workload.  Duties: appts/surgery, labwork, radiology, nursing care, client ed, general nursing care, some clerical.  PT/FT available, 25-40 hrs/week.  Salary commensurate with exp. Benefits: health/dental, 401-k, employer match, profit sharing, uniforms, CE, vacation, discounted vet care.
