The VetPlan software and training system embodies the operating model found at Safari Animal Care Centers. 

 

We are currently recruiting for a highly skilled VetPlan Implementation / Training Consultant to join our very busy VetPlan Implementation Team. Persons qualifying for this position will have a strong Veterinary background (Veterinary Practice Management Consultant, Practice Manager, Pharmaceutical Representative, Veterinarian, Technician, Receptionist) and be very familiar with Veterinary Practice systems and processes. 

 

As a VetPlan Implementation/Training Consultant, you are key to the successful implementation of VetPlan within veterinary practices utilizing proprietary training tools and presentations designed by Dr. Steve Garner and unique to VetPlan, LLC. 

 

In this position, you will travel up to 100% of the time worldwide and:

· Consult on-site and off-site to lead/manage the implementation of VetPlan and training of all aspects of the on-site software training including the physical use of the system as well as how to optimize the system.

· Facilitate the installation by customizing the training for each practice taking into consideration the following:  communication plans, training strategy, site engagement process, readiness activities, building stakeholder alignment, and building internal resources to achieve and maintain successful change.

· Assist the practice to customize the VetPlan software with their Standards of Care.  You will work through the practice IT personnel to facilitate installation of hardware and software and work with the practice healthcare team to understand the software.  You will train the practice on software Buttonology and utilization of the software within the practice by department, i.e. reception, exam room.  You will then implement process changes around workflow and scheduling.  As behavioral change issues specific to each practice arise, you will consult with practice personnel and develop ongoing relationships with practice leadership in monitoring the success of the implementation.

· When not traveling and working with VetPlan, you will work in our veterinary hospital, Safari Animal Care Centers, to fully understand and master VetPlan and the Safari operating model.

· Once this position is mastered, you will assist in training other consultants.

· Other areas of participation may include contributing to ongoing software development, refinement of the practice change process, education of the veterinary industry regarding the VetPlan software and training system, providing continuing education programs for VetPlan systems, developing relationships with key industry influentials pertaining to VetPlan, and other duties as required.

 

Position Requirements:

· 1-5 years experience working within the Veterinary Industry.

· Knowledge of transformative change and best practices.

· Ability to manage large change management projects and present change management concepts to all levels of veterinary personnel and gain their buy-in.

· Excellent oral communication, presentation, and written/documentation skills.

· Open minded, flexible, willing to listen, and thrive in challenging environments.

· Excellent interpersonal skills, leadership skills and ability to influence wide range of stakeholders toward desired end results. 

· Comfortable working independently, directing others, and ability to get involved.

· Knowledge of information technology (hardware, software, databases, etc.) and how it enables the business.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.  In-depth meeting, group and team facilitation skills.  Track record of achieving results and driving process excellence.

· Ability and willingness to travel up to 100% worldwide is required.

· Bachelor’s degree preferred.
