Textile Designer

 

The focus of this position is to create high quality CAD artwork and maintain organized digital archives. 

 

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

 Scanning, cleaning, re-coloring, and creating repeats for prints – both all over and engineered layoutsDesigning all print and placement artwork Color matching, generating and updating digital color palettes for each seasonColor separating and creating pitch sheets/strike-off requests, color commentsCreating and maintaining print log for all prints in development

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS ARE:

 2-year degree (Textile Design, Fine Art or Graphic Design preferred)2 years experience with CAD work at apparel manufacturer or textile companyCreative and efficient in textile designBroad knowledge of technical printing processes, including dry and wet printing, discharge, etc.Self-motivated and skilled at handling multiple projects at the same timeHighly organized, good work ethic, lots of energy and great attitudeExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenProficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator programs (Mac savvy)
