Telecom Engineer

PSI (www.policy-studies.com) is a rapidly expanding, nationally recognized provider of outsourcing, technology and consulting services to state governments, and is currently seeking a Telecom Engineer for our Port St. Lucie, FL location.

 

Responsibilities include:  Provide telecom support to call centers; troubleshoot and resolve telecom issues; analyze telecom needs, research and recommend solutions; design, implement, and support telecom solutions; design and implement call flows using vectoring and skills-based routing; work with internal customers, departments, and telecom service providers to complete projects; and document telecom system configurations and services, develop disaster recovery plans.

 

The ideal candidate will have: High school diploma required.  Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems preferred; Minimum 5 years experience in Telecom field; system administration experience with the following telephone systems and adjuncts is required:  Avaya S8xxx system running Communication Manager; Avaya CMS, Avaya Intuity Audix; experience with the following is preferred:  Avaya IR System; Avaya Predictive Dialer; Avaya eCAS system, Witness Call Recording System; proficiency using MS Word and MS Excel, MS Project, Visio; and ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to internal customers, external telecom service providers, and management teams both verbally and in writing.
