Siemens Network Convergence is seeking a System Test Engineer to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment. The successful candidate would be self-driven work well in a team environment. As a Test Engineer you will be working with VoIP technology which will include the testing of Softswitches and Media Gateway components. To be considered for this critical position, applicants must have telephony experience especially in VoIP with a very good understanding of telephony principles and call processing features. Excellent understanding of Solaris OS and Windows OS is a must. Experience with SIP and MGCP protocols good knowledge of IP infrastructure and networking would be preferred. Individuals with CCNA or equivalent network certification a plus. Successful candidates must be capable of developing test strategies and test cases against requirements, executing the test plan and following up deviations from requirements with Systems Engineering or the Development organization. Good administrative skills are required for this position. Individuals must be capable of debugging problems, documenting issues and following up until re-test of corrections.

Additional Requirements:
Employee must have good telephony experience in VoIP applications, IP infrastructure and network. Also, an understanding of telephony priniciples and call processing features is needed. Good analytical and debugging skills are required. Experience with MGCP, SIP, and ISUP protocols will be required for load run set up that will be exercised during the test plan execution. Ability to prioritize observed faults, putting emphasis on issues that will have the greatest customer impact. Must be self driven and resourceful in achieving goals independently as well as working in a team to achieve department and company goals. Must be able to take the lead on release planning activities to ensure schedules are achieved on time.
