Sales Engineer

We are always searching for qualified professionals to share in our steady growth. Currently, we are looking for a Sales Engineer to be based in or near Ft. Myers, FL.

 



JOB SUMMARY:
Provides strong technical expertise as an individual contributor supporting the pre and post sales processes. Responsible to successfully manage the installation of telephone and communications services (switched and data) based on orders provided from the Account Executives. Accountable for providing technical analysis for the sales application, assuring it meets customer requirements, and translating and processing the order into a viable and workable voice and/or data communications solution for the client.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Report to the Sales Manager and has no subordinates. Works directly with the Sales Team to provide technical support on voice and data products. Provides Pre and Post Sales support in the form of technical assistance, proposal support, diagrams, and meetings with prospective customers when necessary to secure business. Coordinates the installation of all TelCove voice and data services and follows up to assure total customer satisfaction.  

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Coordinates the installation TelCove voice and data services. Provides strong technical expertise as an individual contributor supporting the pre and post sales processes on voice and data applications. Assists in the development of sales proposals. Evaluates segments of a customer's business process. Designs models to illustrate key product and service requirements. Strong understanding of company voice and data products and services. Participates at customer site on installation and configuration activities. Post sales support (post installation engineering activities supporting product and services. Primary focus is wireline and wireless services sales engineering support. Assists Sales with the implementation of switched, dedicated, and 800 services. Provides direction, coordination, and communication to carriers, vendors, and other entities in order to effect a timely and efficient installation. Provides support on escalated customer service issues. Monitors and initiates corrective actions on customers services, insuring satisfaction of the client. Provides Pre and Post-Sales support in the form of technical assistance, proposal support, customer network planning, and meetings with prospective customers when necessary to secure opportunities. Maintains a professional attitude at all times. Maintains good working relationship with all team members and office staff. Performs other duties and tasks as assigned or as become evident.

Must be able to take action in solving problems while exhibiting judgment and a realistic understanding of issues. Must be able to respond to situations as they arise without supervision.  

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree in Business or technical field or equivalent. Two to Five years technical environment, sales engineering and/or sales in a voice/data environment. Minimum of 2 years in a position requiring direct professional interfacing with customers. Must have demonstrated abilities in interfacing directly with higher level customer contacts. Personal computer skills with demonstrated ability in Microsoft Word, Excel, and e-Outlook. Must possess presentation skills, and effective writing skills.

 



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to work in a normal office environment including the operation of a computer keyboard and mouse. Must be able to operate a telephone, fax machine, and copy machine.
