Siemens Network Convergence is seeking a PRODUCT MANAGER for our Product Line Management (PLM) Team in Boca Raton, Florida. This individual will initially be responsible for supporting the Siemens SURPASS Consumer Voice Solution for Cable Markets (CV Cable), which includes products such as the richly featured hiQ 8000 Softswitch, the hiQ 4200 Application Server and hiG IP/PSTN Gateways. This position includes the management of activities for the solution product line for key markets in the Americas, Europe, and Asia.

The CV PLM position is responsible for defining the solution roadmap for technologies, features and product components for the exciting growth in the VoIP and Video residential markets. Existing service providers as well as new entrants are well positioned to grow their revenues with the quadruple play of voice, video, data, and wireless. And Siemens is already a major provider with leading edge solutions! The CV PLM position is responsible for analyzing voice and video market requirements, helping to guide key customers towards new Siemens solution offerings, managing the entire solution lifecycle of the Siemens standard solutions for key customers, and assisting the PLM team of SNC and FN S (headquartered in Munich) to jointly drive the Siemens CV business. The applicant must have the ability to build consensus, work in teams effectively, and perform other job-related duties and activities as requested.
• We are seeking an experienced Product Management professional with 8+ years experience and a documented track record of success in the cable, telecommunications or data communications field
• Full product lifecycle experience with particular emphasis in next generation networks and media gateways for large carrier environments
• BS Degree, an MBA or MS is preferred
• Demonstrable skills in competitive analysis and VoIP customer requirements evaluation
• Knowledgeable in next generation voice technology, trends, protocols and business drivers, especially SIP, MGCP, Video Telephony, and Mobility.
• Strong project management, organizational, team-building and consensus building skills
• A minimum of 3+ years of product architecture and development experience
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills including presentation experience to large and diverse audiences
• Ability to balance technical and business issues as well as communicate appropriately with both technical and business experts
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers and employees, along with working with external clients, or customers
• Ability to maintain own work flow and meet deadlines
• Ability to do product demonstrations, executive level presentations and briefings
• This position requires occasional international travel to customer and non-customer sites
