Summary
E Squared, a leading communications consulting firm, focusing on Wireless, Wireline, Fleet GPS tracking, Phone Systems, IT Outsourcing, Software Development & New Commercial Construction Projects. Is looking for a Professional Field Technician to assist in supporting a current high growth market. This person will be responsible for handling installations and servicing phone systems (Key and PBX) as well as field hardware and software and structured cabling. Nortel and fiber experience a plus. Must have dependable vehicle for which you will receive a monthly allowance for mileage and gas. Good customer service skills are a must. If you are a detailed & an effective communicator with a demonstrated success record of telecom service, (Moves, adds, changes, project management & installation) we want to speak with you. If you bring the commitment to succeed you can earn up to $40,000.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Phone & Cabling Field Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and service of low-voltage medical communications equipment. Ensures installations are completed correctly and in a timely manner.
ü Previous low voltage, cabling or device installation experience is highly desired.
ü You must be a disciplined self-starter, with ability to work primarily independent.
ü Strong verbal communication and organizational skills are a primary requisite.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
üInstalls, removes, upgrades, configures, tests, troubleshoots, repairs, disconnects and performs preventive maintenance upon low-voltage medical communications equipment.
ü At client sites, will be singularly responsible for the hands on installation of the communications equipment requiring significant “ladder” work
üRead blueprints for installation of custom systems and equipment while ensuring a timely delivery of installation.
üTrains client personnel in use of equipment and system
ü Assesses and reacts to new developments or unexpected problems in the field with as little down time as possible. Accurately analyzes problems or anticipates problem areas.
ü Receives instruction/work orders, meets scheduled appointments with customers and dispatch due dates as directed by Supervision
ü Completes work as defined on the Service Order and closes out the order in a timely manner
ü Prepares up-to-date documentation supporting assigned and related areas of responsibility (time sheets, expense reports, status reports, and close outs).
ü Performs all other dispatched duties as requested by management.
ü Special projects as assigned.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
ü Demonstrated ability to take a positive, proactive, confrontive approach to solving installation and technical problems.
ü Demonstrated ability to interact in a positive, proactive, customer service manner with customers during installation and training situations.
ü General understanding of construction sites.
ü Experience pulling low voltage cable of any type (cable/alarm/phone/intercom/nurse call/music).
ü Experience fishing cable down inside finished walls.
ü Experience with any type of CONTROL wiring will also enable them to pick up our methods faster.
ü Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
ü Positive, “can-do” approach to problem solving
ü A high degree of interpersonal skills.
ü Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage own time effectively.
ü Ability to travel Monday thru Friday on a weekly basis.
ü Demonstrated ability to conduct training programs and documentation for a wide variety of professionals.
ü A high energy level. Willingness and ability to learn quickly.
ü Ability to interact professionally and effectively with customers, physicians, nurses and other technical medical staff.
ü Must posses a working computer, printer, internet connection and access to Microsoft Excel as this is the primary format for technical paperwork.
ü High School Diploma or GED
Hiring will be contingent on clearing a background check.
This is a full time position with the company.
You need to have a good driving record, licensed to as required by state law to drive a company owned vehicle.
