Inter-Tel is seeking a Network Systems Engineer II. The Network Systems Engineer II will provide on-site data networking support for our customers for new installations, trouble sites, software upgrades, and training.

*Provide on-site data networking support to our customers (approx. 40% travel in US & UK)
*As final support tier, perform specialized escalated casework. Work closely with Engineering to provide resolutions.
*Work closely with customers to train them on the systems
*Monitor selected production sites to ensure trouble-free operation of data networking systems
*Provide documentation of product issues from the field
*Participate in rotating emergency call duty

Requires:
*3+ yrs progressive technical support experience in telecommunications and computer industry (Excellent Customer Relations Skills)
*Experience troubleshooting telephone systems (knowledge of telephony standards, T1 signaling, analog signaling, ISDN PRI/BRI signaling) and/or data network technology (including quality of service, router experience (Cisco, etc.), VLAN experience and network general sniffer experience) at customer locations
*Knowledge of TCP/IP, ATM protocols, MPLS, Frame Relay
*AA Degree

Preferred Certifications: Convergence Technologies Professional (CTP), CCNA, Net+, A+
