Training Specialist

PURPOSE AND SCOPE: Participate in building and maintaining a company-wide learning environment in which worldwide employees strengthen the competencies required to perform their jobs through a variety of development approaches. Design, develop, outsource and deliver company-wide learning and development programs and initiatives for employees.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Conducts needs assessment by utilizing interviews, surveys and feedback from organization's managers and employees.
2. Recommends the deployment strategy and participates in the design and evaluation of instructor-led and e-learning initiatives and other resources and tools.
3. Researches external training and consulting resources, and manages vendor relationships.
4. Coordinates and participates in the facilitation and evaluation of employee training in such areas as: Company knowledge, presentation skills, communication, and customer service.
5. Collaborates with HR Representatives and managers on any needed program customization and localization.
6. Participate as a team member on other projects as needed, such as other employee development programs.

EDUCATION:
Baccalaureate degree is required. Advanced degree in Human Resource Development, Organization Development, Training and Development or related field is a plus.

EXPERIENCE:
2-3 years of experience within the Human Resources, corporate training or organization development areas; training design and presentation experience.

SPECIAL SKILLS:
Must possess strong project planning and implementation skills, excellent oral and written communication skills as well as teaching and presentation skills. Must be able to exercise judgement, independence and initiative to complete all tasks and meet deadlines. Must possess Internet savvy and proficiency with word-processing and presentation software.
