Ski and Ride School Supervisor

 

The Ski and Ride School at Winter Park Resort is currently accepting applications for a seasonal, salaried Adult Snowboard Supervisor and Kids Ski Supervisor to begin in November 2006.

 

SNOWBOARD SUPERVISOR

Responsibilities of the Snowboard Supervisor include planning, directing and leading the activities of the adult snowboard program, maximizing the guest’s lesson experience in a cost effective manner. Major duties will include scheduling, class assignments, training, evaluating staff, and working with other supervisors to ensure instructor coverage throughout the SRS. Other desired qualifications include superior interpersonal skills, ability to demonstrate expert riding skills, understanding of business principles and efficient organizational skills.

 High School diploma or equivalent (GED)Five years full-time snowboard instructor and an AASI Level 3 certification or equivalent skill are recommended. One-year supervisory experience, demonstrated leadership and management skillsStrong background in guest service desirable.  The salary range for this position will be based on qualifications and experience.

SKI SUPERVISOR:

Responsibilities of the Kids Ski Supervisor include planning, directing and leading the activities of the Kids ages 3-17 Ski School programs and maximizing the guest ski lesson experience in a cost effective manner. Major duties will include scheduling, class assignments, training and evaluating staff. Desired qualifications include superior interpersonal skills, ability to demonstrate expert skiing skills, understanding of business principles and efficient organizational skills.

 High School diploma or equivalent (GED) requiredFive years full-time ski instructor and a PSIA Level 3 certification or equivalent skill are recommendedOne-year supervisory experience, demonstrated leadership and management skillsStrong background in guest service are desirable. The salary for this position will be based on qualifications and experience.
