Title   General Manager of Operations

 

Total Hrs  up to 60 hours per week.  More or less pending what is necessary to get the Job done

 

Description – General Manager of Operations is responsible for leading the club in a positive direction towards monthly, quarterly and Annual Revenue goals.  They must acquire, develop and lead their team of employees in a manner which will lead to over all success, while maintaining the VYGOR Culture and Philosophy.  They will be responsible for overseeing the operation of all profit centers within the club, including Personal Training, Membership, Supplement Sales, Tanning, and any other. They will also directly over see all the leaders and/or staff of each department to insure the quality of service and product meets or exceeds all VYGOR expectations.

 

The GMO will be responsible for working closely with Owner/Senior Partners to develop appropriate and effective marketing and sales strategy; and will be directly responsible for the effective implementation of all marketing and sales promotions.

 

Objective:  To insure that the vision and the mission of the facility are met on a daily basis by consistently leading the department heads and staff forward to achieve organizational goals.

 

Reports to:  Owner/President

 

Game Plan:

1.  Lead by example in all areas of ethics, communication, management, leadership, user service, as well as club use.

 

2.  Track weekly cash flow reports, revenue sources and all other performance standards and take necessary and immediate action to correct setbacks to drive club profit.

 

3.  Administer the annual budget and strategic plan.

 

4.  Perform daily facility audits. Check for cleanliness, functioning equipment; lights, fans; HVAC settings; amenities stocked

 



5.  Weekly individual meetings with each Department Head to assist with and enhance their performance of their departments and grow club profit.



 

6.  Weekly group management meetings to motivate, educate, inform and oversee the managers of the club to re-enforce the mission, the vision and club issues.

 

7.  Represent the club at community functions on a monthly basis as well as initiate community outreach programs for service, visibility and positive public relations.

 

8.  Hire, train, direct, review and when necessary, terminate staff.

 

9. Develop compensation, incentive systems and goal setting for management.

 

10. Prepare payroll memo for each payroll to keep staff informed

 

11. Lead bi-monthly all staff meetings.

 

12. Perform quarterly competition analysis to understand current market position.

 

13. Insure that the Management Staff has a strong presence throughout the club and plays with Members on a daily basis.

 

14. Improve existing profit centers and develop new ones.

 

15. Improve systems to insure greater accountability.

 

16. Oversee and direct the countless details that make the Members experience positive during every visit.
