Corporate Training Manager

At In-Shape Health Clubs with 23 clubs in the Central Valley and growing, we are full of energy and a workplace that can truly make a difference in our employees and members lives.  The Training Manager is the training champion within the company and a vital link to our long-term success.  This position reports to the Director of Training & Development.

 

Key Responsibilities:

§ Responsible for developing, planning, administering, modifying, and overseeing all activities related to training and development for the Corporate Office and Club staff programs for teams and individuals.

§ Develops training policies, programs, and schedules based on knowledge of company processes and systems.

§ Tracks and evaluates progress of employees being trained.

§ Facilitates Manager-In-Training (MIT) programs and classes on a monthly basis.

§ Oversees training events, including but not limited to scheduling and participant enrollment and ensures all materials are available for events.

§ Analyzes program evaluations and results to determine training effectiveness and makes necessary adjustments.

§ Develops and maintains “Train-the-Trainer” program in effective training techniques; such as, Front Desk customer service, management development programs, etc.

§ Organizes, develops, and maintains training manuals, reference materials, visual aids, and other educational materials.

§ Manages and conducts CPR & First Aid training and ensures instructors are in place for all districts.

 

Qualifications:

§ Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in related field.

§ Minimum 3 years experience as a Training Manager in a corporate environment for a medium to large size organization.

§ Ability to verbally motivate, energize, and articulate in an easy manner in the classroom.

§ Requires excellent verbal and written skills

§ In-depth knowledge of multi-site operations.

§ Knowledge of Adult Learning Principles and Instructional Design techniques with the ability to immediately implement standard training programs for customer service and management development.

§ Position requires a highly motivated, energetic, self-starter who can effectively prioritize to accomplish objectives within tight deadlines.

§ Ability to work with learners of many different skill levels.

§ Fluency in/to advanced Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, Power Point) as well as strong conceptual skills.

§ Must become a certified trainer for CPR & First Aid.

§ Some travel required with limited overnight requirements.
