Activities Director

Alterra Healthcare, a Brookdale Senior Living company, currently seeks an experienced Activities Director for our Villas at River Place, an established provider of assisted living services. This is an exciting opportunity for the right professional.

 

The selected Activities Director will plan, implement, and monitor recreation programs to meet the specific needs of each and all residents. You will ensure that residents’ lives are maintained to the extent possible by providing activities and contacts with the community.

 

You will be responsible for planning the life enrichment calendar each month for each resident; providing one-to-one programming for residents who cannot participate in a group setting. Other responsibilities include:

 Participating in the review of individual residents’ service plans and regularly documenting life enrichment process. Coordinates the transportation of residents to and from events outside of the residence, which may include driving a residence motor vehicle. Monitor life enrichment budget, equipment and supplies. Coordinates special events. Provides guidance and acts as a resource to staff on the importance of life enrichment and other areas regarding the quality of life for residents. Ensuring that Life Enrichment Programs meet all state, federal, and other regulations.

 

Qualified candidates will have at least 1-2 years experience in healthcare with Life Enrichment or Activities. Supervisory experience required. Basic typing skills essential along with basic knowledge of computer and word processing software, preferably in a Microsoft Windows environment.
