We have an immediate opening in our North American group, located at our Andalusia, Alabama location, for a Process Improvement Chemist.
Duties:
o Review and maintain all F&P's, manage notifications, reconcile manufacturing process capability to F&P requirements and ensure that in specification product can be produced.
o Lead plant Batch Cycle Time reduction efforts and report on results.
o Develop, manage and report results for QC/QA performance so that product quality is optimized in the most resource efficient manner.
o Provide personal training and monitor results for all plant product quality testing.
o Review/Develop test methods that meet R&D standards.
o Actively participate on projects within the Process Improvement Chemist Network as assigned by the Process Improvement Chemist Coordinator, North America
o Manage, maintain and support the ISO quality system including procedures, implementation, and work in-practice; serve as Management Representative for the ISO quality system; maintain ISO quality certification

Qualifications:
o 5 years related experience
o Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry or related
Skills:
o Excellent leadership, customer orientation, solution offering and interpersonal skills
o Excellent computer skills (word, excel, graphics, database) are considered an asset
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills
o Demonstrable planning and organizing skills are required
