VAR Account Executive (Michigan/Ohio)

 

Dell's SMB VAR Division is looking for a sales leader to join the fast growing outside sales team. This role includes responsibility to continually grow and develop assigned territory including revenue growth, enterprise lines of business for Dell, communicating strategic direction, pricing, discounting, and Dell capabilities. The assigned territory will carry a quota focused on generating growth each quarter in both product and services lines of business. The Account Executive works with inside sales teams and partners to drive all lines of business, removing technical barriers, architecting business solutions, and closing the sale. Takes a lead role on the sale to ensure that the Dell solutions are comprehensive, achieve customer goals, and provide an outstanding customer experience.



Must have a thorough understanding of, and experience with client products, server, storage and enterprise software. EMC product competency is a plus. Candidate must demonstrate advanced knowledge in network operating systems, networking, and server/storage consolidation principles. Required ability to travel 75% of the time to customer sites to develop new relationships. Strong experience negotiating with senior management levels within customer base. Outside technical selling experience is required. Experienced in working closely with Inside Sales and supporting resources to succeed. Prefer a minimum of 5 years experience as a sales consultant.
