Are you ready for the Real Whirled?
Whirlpool’s Real Whirled Program gives you the opportunity to spend seven weeks at our corporate headquarters, living and breathing our products, in a house with seven other new employees. Along with your peers, you undergo intense training that equips you with the skills you need to succeed in a challenging assignment in one of our sales territories. Whirlpool is committed to providing you with the training and development you need to succeed, so your training is extensive. Not only are you trained on our innovative products, but you also go through exercises in communication, selling and merchandising, consumer segments, operations and how to build relationships.
After your training, you are assigned to one of our many sales regions in the continental U.S., where you will be known as Whirlpool’s Market Brand Representative. During this your initial assignment, you serve as the eyes and ears of Whirlpool. As you visit Whirlpool’s Trade Partners in your assigned region, you will educate appliance sales associates on the benefits of Whirlpool Corporation products to help them hone their ability to sell Whirlpool’s products. You will also gather customer and competitive intelligence from the sales force, in order to help improve Whirlpool’s existing products and strategies. In this role, you are afforded a great deal of autonomy, as you are responsible for setting your own schedule and meeting and exceeding your objectives. In the field, training continues through weekly conference calls, special sessions to announce product changes, on-line product and skills learning, and reunion class training.
At the conclusion of your field assignment, you will have many exciting directions that you can take your career with Whirlpool. Depending on your strengths and interests, you may stay in the field and take on greater responsibilities or you may move to our corporate headquarters where you can join one of our merchandising, marketing, customer service or supply chain teams.
In this position you will have the opportunity to:
Undergo a minimum of seven weeks of intensive training before your first assignment
Build and maintain essential relationships with our trade partners
Work directly with consumers and help build loyalty to Whirlpool’s brands
Receive ongoing coaching and developmental feedback on your performance
Bachelor’s Degree - any area of concentration Strong organizational skills Geographic mobility - within the continental U.S. Aptitude for learning new technology Intense desire to improve professionally Effective presentation & communication skills Enthusiasm, competitive drive & self-motivation Ability to work some evening and weekend hours

We also look for people with the maturity and drive to take control of their activities. The Market Brand Representative role is a field position and is not often physically near a direct supervisor. Thus, you must have the individual discipline to set your schedule and activities. This will ultimately drive successful, extraordinary results.
