 Logistics Coordinator:

  Primary Duties:Work closely with Account Executives to supplement account managementProactively inquire about vendor load schedules, trucking options, mill appointments and coordinate as necessaryRegularly call established accounts to ensure customer satisfactionCreate and maintain purchase/sale/brokerage contracts Enter and maintain fixed and formulated pricing Manage SF Log bookHandle all outside carriers in order to allow dispatch to focus on LPT loadsProblem Solving: Missed loadsLoads that arrive with no or incorrect release #Handling rejected loadsCoordinate when loads are unable to be picked up when neededManage special projects and special requests from mills and vendors:Monthly income/tonnage/load reportsYellow Sheet pricing historyTemplates to ensure timely pickups based on scrap generation projectionsCreative efforts to improve efficiencies in billing/payments/data input and implement as needed

 

Secondary Duties:

o Data Entry

o Invoice Customers

o Pay Vendors

o Pay outside Freight Carriers

o Match customer and vendor paper work with Padnos paper work

o Code and Price receivers/shipments/brokerages

o Investigate unposted shippers and receivers

o Request weights from Mills

o Review invoice and selected transaction registers

o Enter credit memo’s and corrections when necessary

o Cover phones for lunch breaks

o Cover Secondary Fibers during scheduled time off

 

Minimum Requirements:

 B.A. in business related fieldStrong data entry skillsProven communication and interpersonal skillsGood mathematical and problems solving skillsProven organizational skills and attention to accuracy and detail

Ability to handle multiple tasks with little supervision
