Business Center Leader - West BC - Phoenix; AZ

Job Summary Leads and aligns Business Center Leadership Team to ensure that Business Center priorities, training and resource allocation are in support of achieving product portfolio goals.

Major Responsibilities
·Leads the implementation of the Business Center strategic planning process (Balanced Scorecard) and appropriate allocation of resources to achieve financial, customer, and internal goals.
·Provides oversight of Business Center strategic initiatives to meet or exceed portfolio objectives.
·Leads prioritization of analytical requirements and provides recommendations to Business Center Leadership Team to ensure that product portfolio objectives are met.
·Participates in and ensures effectiveness of Strategic Alignment Meetings.
·Works with Project Leader for Distance Learning and Curriculm lead to assess the effectiveness of distance-based training initiatives and assess effectiveness .
·Directs the implementation of all training initiatives within assigned Business Centers for new hires, existing PSSs, regional sales leadership and other field members.
·Supports Regional Sales Directors in implementing, communicating, and aligning DSM Leadership teams around strategic initiatives to accomplish portfolio objectives.
·Provides ongoing input and feedback to Business Center Director regarding process improvements/enhancements (e.g., customer planning, business planning, financial management and Business Center objectives).
·Collaborates with Senior Sales Leadership to ensure optimal execution of the Business Center plan and to identify opportunities to maximize sales force effectiveness.
·Collaborates with HQ leadership to enhance communication and optimize allocation of resources between headquarters and Business Centers.
·Provides prioritization and review of workload, coaching/mentoring, and skill development of direct reports (Regional Training Specialists)& indirect (Regional Business Analysts).
·Participates on TA and/or multi-disciplinary teams to collaborate on cross-functional, sales related and field sales training issues.
·Leads the implementation of the Business Center strategy to brand AZ in local communities.


Responsibilities

·Bachelors degree; MBA preferred.
·Minimum of 7 years experience in pharmaceutical sales or healthcare, including prior field sales or headquarters leadership experience (i.e., District Sales Manager, Regional Training Manager, Regional Business Leader, Brand Manager, or Central Operations Management role).
·Demonstrated leadership, financial management, analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
·Thorough understanding of training programs and initiatives, and market dynamics within all
therapeutic areas.
·Strong knowledge of customer segments, training and market dynamics across all brands
within the Business Center.
·Ability to lead and influence through change management.
·Experienced in leading and managing personnel and to develop staff through coaching and mentoring.
