We have market-focused experience in a broad cross-section of industry, including Chemicals, Cleaning, Crop protection, Fabric and leather, Fibers, Food, Health care, Lubricants, Oil and gas, Paper, Personal care, Personal wash, Pigments, Polymer additives, Polymers and coatings, Rubber and more.
Responsibilities:
' Maintain customer / market awareness and professional visibility
' Develop solutions for customer or market needs (e.g., developing new or improved products or translating / adapting existing products into new applications).
' Respond to customer inquiries (technical questions, complaints, and Product Stewardship);
' Act as a Product Steward for the alkanolamides, amphoteric, and other specialty (non-ester / non-PAG / non-oleochemical) chemistries of Uniqema's portfolio in the Americas.
' This role may be involved in coordinating work of assigned personnel (laboratory or otherwise) to expedite progress of the assigned problems.
' This role may provide technical and product support to the following product categories : Alkoxylates, Esters, Phospholipids, Polymeric Surfactants ' primarily as they relate to the Industrial Cleaning and / or Crop Protection markets
' This role is laboratory based, though the incumbent may travel up to 10-15% of his / her time, promoting Uniqema and teaching customers to use its products.
Requirements:
' Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related scientific discipline
' 3-5 years of relevant industry experience in formulations and understanding of the market dynamics
' Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
' Ability to collaborate with others technically and commercially
' Demonstrated appreciation of importance/value of safety and Product Stewardship
' Must be familiar with the tenets of experimental design in moving technology forward
' Good organizational and problem solving skills as well as independent thinking and evaluation
' Clear understanding of Uniqema's products and processes, an understanding of applied surfactants and emulsion chemistry, and the ability to interface with commercial people is highly preferred
