Senior Software QA Engineer

Part of the Security and Mobile Connectivity SQA team, this is a technical lead position to support the Security Application test activities. The candidate will need to interface with multiple functional team in Engineering, Program Management, and SQA teams from other sites.

Duties include (but not limited to) SQA test planning (prepare project plan, test plan, test case, test bed), monitor test progress (test report, test metrics, program team meeting actions), and project management (resource planning, risk mitigation planning, schedule).

Technical lead requires someone with broad understanding of technology, forward looking, and flexibility to adjust to changing environment and priorities.

Requirements:
BSCS is required, MSCS is preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience as hands on QA Engineer/Lead with
- In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP protocol suite as well as NAT, DHCP, DNS, SSL, QoS, ACLs, VLANs, Link Aggregation, RADIUS, TACACS
- Good understanding of enterprise and service provider network scenarios
- Minimum of 3 years of experience testing application running on Linux, BSD, Solaris
- Minimum of 2 years experience testing security application such as FireWall, Anti-Virus, VPN
- Knowledge and experience with Ixia or Spirent or Agilent traffic generators are highly desirable.
- Experience in scripting languages TCL/Expect, Perl
- Must be self-motivated team player who can see problems through to resolution and closure and function without management supervision
- Strong communication, inter-personal, project planning, and project management skill
- Working knowledge of software development methodologies, SQA process, and customer management.
- Experience working in multi-site, multi-culture development environment is a big plus
