RESEARCH KNOWLEDGE COORDINATOR
SPECIFIC
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Research Knowledge Coordinator will have a number of responsibilities, most supporting the Research organization, but also some that address key processes affecting the whole Morgan Samuels firm. This role is being implemented to ensure seamless data and knowledge capture as well as process and data integrity throughout the search engagement startup and closedown processes. In addition, this role will facilitate operational consistency, manage productivity reporting, demand forecasting for contractors, preparation of client-ready presentation materials and provide other necessary support of the research function. This is a diverse role that requires someone with a strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple simultaneous competing priorities and projects effectively.
QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will have proven skills in the following technical areas:
· Considerable experience and comfort with diverse computer-based work activities in a professional business setting.
· Significant proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity software suite (at a minimum, experience with Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Internet Explorer).
· Robust quantitative and qualitative analytical capabilities.
· Experience working with established business processes, as well as contributing to their refinement and improvement.
In addition to the above technical skill requirements, the following areas of technical expertise are not required, but strongly desired:
· Prior experience creating, maintaining and implementing standards-based taxonomies, business vocabularies, or similar data structures.
· Experience with data management and quality assurance processes.
· Experience with a contact-driven CRM application (such as Goldmine.
· In-depth knowledge of online company research resources, databases and information (e.g. Hoovers, OneSource, ZoomInfo, etc.).
The successful candidate will also have the following non-technical attributes:
· Considerable experience working within process frameworks and contributing to their improvement.
· Exceptional attention to details.
· Experience with and understanding of what it takes to work as an effective and collaborative member of a team.
· Proven capability to work in an unstructured, fast paced, and matrixed environment.
· Excellent project management skills. Must be able to organize, multi-task, and prioritize appropriately and meet deadlines for multiple projects.
· Strong listening skills as well as excellent oral and written communications ability, demonstrating confidence and clarity.
· Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to earn the confidence and respect of a wide range of internal audiences.
· Exceptional strategic thinking skills, combined with strong creative problem solving and decision-making skills.
· Comfort with employing quantitative tools and methods of planning and analysis.
EDUCATION: An undergraduate degree is required.
