Principal Scientist - SW Architecture for Mobile & Collaborative Systems

Principal Scientist in Software Architecture research. Exceptional individual that is expected to contribute strongly in software architecture related research, with a special focus on applications for mobile and pervasive computing environments, and for collaborative environments.

Depending on the profile the candidate, the role would be more focused on individual contribution or to management/supervisioning.

Individual Contributor: Independently carrying out consulting, specific functional work within a Business Unit/Geography. Assumes broad perspective. Resolves unique and highly complex problems within own discipline. Makes decisions about own and/or project work using known solutions as basis. Managerial/Supervisory: Effective management of resources & development/implementation of plans and processes. Interprets policies and establishes procedures. Increased awareness and influence of other functions outside of own business area. Decision making often repeated in similar manner - able to choose correct solution or modify exisiting solution.

Requirements:
Very strong background in academic and applied industrial research in the area of software architectures is needed. World-class broad expertise is expected at least on one of the following areas, and good knowledge on another one is an asset: software architectures; web services; collaborative services. Proven track record of bringing research results into reality needed. Innovative mindset with the ability to seek actively new opportunities and contribute the key ideas to projects and programs is a must. Typically 10-15 years relevant experience. Degree PhD.
