Equity Quantitative Research Analyst

UBS is a leading global financial services firm. Our Investment Bank is one of the world's top global investment banking and securities firms, providing a full spectrum of products to institutional and corporate clients, intermediaries, government and hedge funds worldwide.

The UBS Investment Bank based in Stamford, Connecticut is seeking a Equity Quantitative Research Analyst to work as integral member of the Equities team. This role is for an experienced Quantitative Research Analyst with a minimum of 1 to 5 years front office Equity and Exotic Equity Derivatives modeling.

The person will be heavily involved with pricing and support of Exotic Equity Derivatives products (i.e. multi-asset, forward starting, path dependent structures). This role will require very good object design skills and experience in C++ programming of quantitative models (on XP/Solaris). Being part of an 18 strong team (located in London, Stamford and Chicago) the new team member will be responsible for the implementation and support of proprietary models within sales and trading.

The ability to work within a team is strongly emphasized. Code and libraries are worked on jointly and while individual contribution is of course encouraged it has to be within a framework of co-operation with other team members. Therefore the candidate must possess exceptional communication skills. On a daily basis, this individual will work with Quantitative Analysts and Traders. It is expected that the candidate will be a leader, self motivator and eager and ready to take their career to the next level.

The Qualified Candidate will:
* Derive & implement models for exotic equity products.
* Participate in all phases of software development from initial requirements through final quality assurance and implementation.
* As part of a focused development team, interact directly with traders, analysts and quantitative analysts.
* Review and revise the implementation of pricing models and analytical tools to satisfy the needs of the sales & trading groups.
* Interface with programmers as financial models and analytical tools move from development to the production stage.
