Configuration Management Administrator

SUMMARY:

Working under minimal supervision and using Agile PLM Application; manages the routing of product definition changes and non-design changes though the impact analysis, strategic approval, planning, detail design, final approval and release to ERP system.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for insuring compliance to the product change process during all phases.Chairs the strategic approval (CCB-Triage) teams.Oversee the general product change process to insure the defined process is being followed.Identify the standard process routings in PDM (AGILE) to meet the requirements of the change process.Maintains the status of the change in the PDM (AGILE) from the initial creation to CO completion.Act as a process mentor to the product change teams in the strategic approval, planning and design phases.Identify the Cymer documentation standards to be applied to specific changes based on the products life cycle.Validate the change deliverables meet applicable Cymer Documentation Standard.Insure product structure (BOM) allows for accurate product definition.Assist in the creation, completion and release of the Change Order (CO) documents and core package.Upon submission of CO for final approval attach/vault all source files and images to Part or Document Objects in the Agile PDM system. Route CO for Final Approval and upon completion, release the CO to the ERP.Other duties as required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Must be computer literate in MS Office.Must have experience with Agile PDM systems.Must have experience with MRP/ERP systems, preferably Oracle Applications.Must have excellent organizational, meeting, and multi tasking skills, as well as good interpersonal skills.Must also exhibit strong attention to detail, be a cooperative team player.Exhibit good analysis and problem solving skills.Ability to understand and identify typical requirements of the various organizational functions (i.e. Manufacturing, Field Service, Purchasing, and Marketing) for new product design as well as a thorough understanding of documentation standards, product structures (BOM) and their affect/interaction with MRP/ERP/PDM systems.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Bachelor of Science degree (BS) in Engineering or other related technical field from four-year college or university.3+ years experience in a position as a configuration control or change management.Additional previous experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree.

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute, generate, and interpret statistical graphs of various types.

 

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
