Business Intelligence Analyst / Senior Analyst
BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ANALYST/SENIOR ANALYST

Our client, a prominent life sciences company, is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst/Sr. Analyst for their Colorado office. This position will be responsible for providing overall assistance with Commercial and Corporate/Business Development activities in support of the Company’s future growth strategy and product portfolio expansion. The position also will be responsible for the assimilation and utilization of pertinent business intelligence and market research data in support of the identification and evaluation of new product opportunities and related competitive landscape and market assessments.
Specific Responsibilities:
· In coordination with the Global Business Intelligence Department, perform technical and marketing opportunity assessments in support of identifying and evaluating potential new product/business opportunities and in support of future label expansion strategies for existing products.
· Develop and maintain market overview summaries on markets of interest including but not limited to: disease overview, sales and prescriptions, competitive pipeline analysis, future market outlook, etc.
· Acquire and review a wide variety of secondary data and reports, evaluate findings, summarize results, and draw conclusions/recommendations from sources such as, but not limited to; IMS/MIDAS, Verispan, NDC, Premier, Decision Resources, Data Monitor, IDdb, TDR, etc.
· Profile potential partners in support of in- and out-licensing and merger and acquisition activities and assist in maintaining a potential partner database.
· Design, conduct, and manage primary market research, as needed, to support the evaluation of new opportunity assessments.
· Build financial forecasting and valuation models in support of in- and out-licensing and merger and acquisition opportunity assessments.
· Participate in the due diligence process in support of ongoing negotiation with potential acquisitions, corporate partners, contractors, in-license candidates and academic institutions.
· Prepare plans, presentations and materials necessary to support the company’s corporate and business development activities.
· Prepare written summary reports and/or oral presentations of project outcomes in an efficient, logical and concise form with minimal guidance.
· Work on additional projects as assigned by the Director of Global Business Intelligence.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor of Science degree in Life Sciences required; Graduate Degree and/or MBA preferred.
· Two to five years of previous experience in business development, market research and/or new product planning in the biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industry.
· Strong analytical skills with knowledge of the pharmaceutical research, clinical and business development strategies and processes.
· Cardiovascular market experience a plus
· Proven experience and success summarizing, critically evaluating, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations in an efficient, concise, and logical manner in both written and verbal form.
· Exceptional skills required: organization, interpersonal, verbal/written communication analytical, general business acumen.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project required.
