Biological R & D QC/QA Technician

Nitto Denko Technical Corporation is seeking an individual with experience or understanding of QC/QA procedures in R & D Biotechnical/BioChemical.

 

Summary of Job:

The incumbent in this position directs quality assurance methods; develops and controls quality programs, monitors production conformance with QA standards and procedures; Participates in creating methods for improving product quality or design, or manufacturing processes

 

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain internal Quality Assurance Systems SOP documentation Research in gene delivery tools, i.e., perform optimization studies of transfection efficiency using  various methods of in-vitro gene delivery assays Perform quality control and commercialization efforts for transfection reagents Design stability and testing of transfection reagents and other in-vitro gene delivery products Maintenance of various cell culture lines and monitor viability Write scientific and promotional papers/reports Purification processes of plasmid Order lab supplies Oversee waste management Analysis of customer and regulatory requirements to assess their effect on the internal Quality System Quality Assurance input within the approved suppliers and in-house partners Quality Assurance record retention Optimization of products and production conditions Interfacing with comercialization team and customers on quality/technical issues Management of instruments related to cell culture and QC

 

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry or Molecular Biology with at least 1year experience or understanding of  QC/QA transfection process, instrumentation.

 

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

(Junior level knowledge acceptable) Reasonable training is expected for one to acclimate to our processes but a base requirement of the knowledge or understanding of procedure to conduct assays, siRNA, luciferase, EGFP, micro-plate technology, ß-galactosidase, cell immuno-staining, and MTT.  Intrumentation: Incumbent must have working knowledge of computers including word processing, spreadsheets and databases; basic business writing skills. Ability to communicate effectively and be able to make presentations and write reports.

 

NDT comprises three R&D divisions:

Biotechnology Group: Performs extensive studies into gene delivery, tissue engineering, genes and drug delivery, imaging and other technologies

Optical Communications Group: Developing novel photorefractive materials, polymeric material for Electro optics, and organic solar cell etc.

Nano-Ceramics Group : Developing white light fluorophore and novel nano composite materials etc
