Beverage R & D Technician

Position: Beverage R & D Technician with the following qualifications.

 

  Duties will include making beverage prototypes and performing pasteurization & sensory tests on products. Candidate must be able to work independently, be computer literate, and be able to lift up to 40lbs. BS/BA degree in scientific discipline is required; prior experience in food R & D is preferred. Provide leadership to key projects with R&D in support of business objectives.

 

·  Achieve timely and efficient completion of objectives.

·  Plan, execute and monitor approved product and process development.

·  Identify and coordinate manpower and physical resources.

·  Responsible for the preparation of project proposals.

·  Maintain state of the art expertise in food R&D and keep abreast of food regulations.

·  Communicate program related issues and status management.

·  Select, train and motivate technical staff.

·  Recommend training tools to improve employee performance and support specific skill development.

·  Evaluate employee performance and recommend salary adjustments.

·  Bachelor’s degree Food Science.

·  Six to eight years experience in food industry is preferred but not required.

·  Experienced with food safety and governmental regulatory requirements.

·  Knowledge consumer testing methodology.

·  Strong communication, negotiating and conflict resolution skills.

·  Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
