Web Applications Specialist
Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy Programs
DUTIES:
The primary duties shall be to provide information technology support the US Department of Energy (DOE) Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) Program at the Golden Field Office. This position directly supports the day-to-day operations and mission of DOE funded research and development in the area of renewable energy. The primary functions of the position are to support the development, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting of web-based applications and hardware. Responsibilities include support for ASP and ASP .NET development, application of completed scripting modules in Visual Basic Scripted web pages used in web-based applications, and development of non standard applications such as the EERE-Project Management Center (EERE-PMC).
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of information technology. The candidate should also have demonstrated skills in the area of:
teamwork as evidenced by good communication skills, self-motivation, and flexibilitycustomer servicetechnical creativitybasic understanding of a networking environment experience with Visual Basic scripting for web page design and implementationdatabase development using MS Access and SQLSQL is paramount
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science with one to three years of IT experience working in government or private industry.
