Senior Manager of Strategic Sourcing - Raw Materials
JOB DESCRIPTION: Global chemical company searching for a Manager of Strategic Sourcing to improve efficiency of purchasing spend by reducing the total cost of ownership associated with a portfolio of spend categories while improving service. Other responsibilities include:
Develop innovative sourcing and supplier management strategies.
Define portfolio strategic sourcing strategies for Strategic Direct raw materials, resale and suppliers.
Effectively negotiate and develop bilateral contracts.
Guide tactical support in development and implementation of strategic sourcing strategies.
Manage and develop suppliers through the use of supplier performance scorecards.
Monitor contract compliance and optimize contractual obligations.
Manage supply and price risk.
Ensure compliance to Safety, Responsible Care, SOX, ethics, etc…
Manage spend portfolio per Operating Plan.
Provide timely and accurate monthly forecast.
Provide market Intelligence to key stakeholders.
Seek out and evaluate “make vs. buy” opportunities.
Represent Procurement in Functional Leadership Teams.
Job Requirements:
BS in Business, Finance or closely related degree.
MBA preferred.
5 + years in Procurement.
Ability to develop high-impact sourcing strategies.
Skilled in cross-functional leadership.
Lean and / or Six Sigma experience a plus.
