Purchasing / Materials Mgt Coordinator

Rapidly growing Orange Park hydraulic hose assembly facility has an immediate opening for a Purchasing / Materials Mgt Coordinator

 

Minimum Qualifications:



Associates degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Ability to manage competing demands

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have advanced knowledge in the use of Microsoft Excel software

 

General Functions:



Adhere to established procedures



Interface between production planning, productions, and logistics department and other office staff through close communication









































 



Essential Job Functions

Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule

 

Select products for purchase by testing, observing, or examining items

 

Maintains procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories

 

Develop strategies to improve the internal management of raw materials

 

Approves invoices for payment

 

Prepares required documentation for import and export shipments

 

Actively management for raw material inventory for shortages and obsolete materials

 

Responsible for the development of initiative resulting in cost reductions

 

Various other special projects assigned by the Operations Manager
