Job Description

 

Giant is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator for bicycle and P&A purchasing activities.  This position works with domestic and international vendors to place and adjust purchase orders to meet forecast and inventory goals, as well as ensure timely and accurate upkeep of purchase order information including production and delivery times, quantities, etc.  The Purchasing Coordinator is also responsible for providing support for Giant’s item master data file as well as other duties within the Purchasing Department.

 

Job Qualifications

 

·         An understanding of the fundamentals of inventory control and purchasing is required.

·         Must have a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Excel and a familiarity with computer software applications.

·         A working knowledge of Outlook and other MS programs is required.

·         Experience with Microsoft’s Axapta program is a plus.

·         Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are mandatory.

·         Experience in international procurement is a plus.

·         Previous bicycle industry experience or significant knowledge of bicycles and parts is preferred.

·         College degree required.
