Purchasing Agent

 

Amerimax Building Products, a division of Euramax International, a leading manufacturer for the housing and recreational vehicle industries and a Goldman Sachs owned company, has an immediate opening for a PURCHASING AGENT based at our Windows Manufacturing facility in Loveland, CO.

 

Only candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field will be considered for this position and 3 to 5 years of purchasing experience is also required. Excellent verbal, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills are a must. The ideal candidate is a quick learner with an outgoing personality and is able to work in a fast paced environment. Strong PC skills, with the ability to use complex Excel spreadsheet, are also absolute requirements for this position.  CPM or CPIM a plus.

Duties include:

 

Reviews requisitions.

 

Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.

 

Reviews inventory levels using MRP to determine items for reorder.

 

Determines order quantity using MRP system.

 

Estimates values according to knowledge of market price.

 

Determines method of procurement such as direct purchase or bid.

 

Prepares purchase orders or bid requests.

 

Reviews bid proposals and negotiate contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority.

 

Maintains procurement records such as items or services purchased, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories.

 

Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.

 

Approves invoices for payment.

 

Expedites delivery of goods to users.

This salaried exempt position will have a salary in the mid to high 30's, and an excellent benefits package including 10 paid holidays, family medical coverage, dental, vision, flexible spending account, life, tuition reimbursement, profit sharing and 401K with company match.
