PROCUREMENT AGENT - Process Equipment & Instrumentation

REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of 3 years experience in procurement of process equipment and instrumentation, including negotiating terms with vendors/suppliers. 

 

Also required:Bachelor's Degree - in the technical field preferredGood working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and Primavera ExpeditionAbility to work individually, or interact effectively with a teamDetail-oriented work ethicExcellent organizational skills


Principal Duties and Responsibilities

 Confer with VP of Design and Engineering, Manager of Design/Build and Project Managers on schedules for equipment delivery dates  Solicit Requests for Information (RFIs) from vendors and submit to VP of Design and Engineering Attend meetings regarding RFIs and proposals Generate and process purchase orders to procure equipment, based on signed proposals Administer submittals and coordinate submittal approval Maintain purchase order originals in project books Coordinate delivery schedule of equipment Administer RFIs to vendors associated with installation or other submittal issues Schedule vendor representatives to visit jobsite for start-up of equipment Obtain and organize all field reports/statements of verification for equipment start-up certification Track and administer equipment warranties Administer distribution of O&M manuals Other general duties required in the procurement of equipment
