Suntron is seeking a qualified individual to perform material estimating. This position is responsible for determining material requirements from engineering and production schedules to ensure price effective and successful quotes.  Position requires competencies in managing competing priorities and deadlines for large quote/bid packages, price reductions and day-to-day management of RFQs, re-quotes, etc. Communicates progress on projects frequently and effectively to appropriate individuals (i.e., sales, customer, vendor, team members, supervisor, etc.). Collates and prepares cost estimates in specified proposal formats and ensures proposal data are current, complete and accurate. Responds to current job cost review projects related to profitability and implements improvements and/or changes in the quote/re-quote process, based on discussion and/or meetings.

 

The successful candidate will have the knowledge and experience to step into the position with minimal training. Ideal candidate will possess at least 2 years of current Oracle and Excel experience, and 2+ years experience as a Buyer in an electronic manufacturing environment. Requires BS degree or equivalent combination of experience and education. Established industry network a plus.  Must be flexible and dependable and possess excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work independently or as a part of a team, and must able to function effectively in a high-paced, dynamic environment.
