The Senior Buyer procures supplies, equipment and service for all Baptist Medical Center entities. Duties include implementing standardization and cost saving programs, assisting customers, reviewing accuracy of receiving and invoicing, maintaining computers files, and maintaining positive working relationships with customer and staff while demonstrating good customer service.



The ideal candidate will possess a four year degree (Accounting/Finance preferred) or equivalent experience, plus 3-5 years purchasing/buying experience and a strong management background.

Necessary skills include leadership, teamwork, A/P, knowledge of office operations, computer skills in WordPerfect, MS Office, Groupwise and spreadsheets; proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and decision-making.
