Report Production Assistant

 

Correia-Xavier, Incorporated (CX) is an appraisal firm specializing in the valuation of and consulting on agricultural and rural properties.  The firm is active in specialized appraisal and consulting services, with special emphasis on larger, complex properties, challenging appraisal assignments, the wine industry, water rights, undivided property interests, and conservation easements.

 

The Report Production Assistant is the member of our team responsible for the final proofing for grammar and formatting of our professional reports, and for the reproduction, binding and shipment of those reports to our clients. 

 

Job Requirements:

 Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in English, Communications, Journalism or other related field.Excellent written communication skills; proficient in reading, spelling and grammar.Prior proofreading experience required; technical report proofing experience preferred.Knowledge of proofreading symbols, real estate and appraisal terminology and blacklining.Strong abilities in MS Word and Excel.Capable of working well under pressure, meeting strict deadlines and prioritizing multiple projects.This is a full-time position with a work schedule of Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.Available to work overtime, as needed.

 

Job Description:

 Review and proofread real estate appraisal reports, contracts, articles, speeches, and other materials produced in the office for spelling, grammar, punctuation and usage.Verify accuracy of all information included in materials reviewed and proofread.Verify all supporting documentation is included, clerically accurate and consistent with material throughout the document.Interact with professional appraisal staff regarding edits to be made.Make changes to materials reviewed and proofread, as necessary.Keep abreast of changing industry guidelines and company policies.Ensure all documents meet company quality control standards.Reproduction/binding of reports and shipment to clients.Collaborate with other staff to ensure timely completion of all tasks assigned.Other tasks, as assigned.
