This position deals with clients; write up job tickets and change orders; communicating color and assembly instructions to the color and mac departments.They plan jobs to work for the end user of the files whether it be ourselves, digital printers, commercial printers or publication printers. They call other printers and get their specifications and update our database. They make b/w copies of client lasers and assemble them as dummies for the QC department. They make sure that file sizes, screen ruling, d-max, resolution, trapping, file format and proofs meet the needs of these printers.They QC jobs after the QC department has done it to make sure nothing is amiss. They review color before it is sent ot our clients to make sure it is what the client was looking for. They write up change orders for billing documentation. They handle final downloads speciic to client needs. They then close the jobs and move on to the next one. Knowledge of printing and finishing is helpful for job planning.
