The Opportunity

 

Reporting to the President, the person selected will be responsible for the daily travel agency and technical operations of Brownell Travel.

 Primary Responsibilities

 

The Director of Operations will have responsibilities as follows:

 

· Managing the daily operations of the Birmingham office

· Supervise a current staff of 4, responsible for:

o  Airline reservations for groups and leisure

o  Sabre Support

o  Ticketing

o  Distribution/mail

o  Wide area network

o  Voice/data

o  Training and new employee orientation

 

 Candidate Background

 

Qualifications and experience required in the successful candidate include the following:

 

·  Minimum of 5 years experience in travel

·  Experienced in booking complex international airline reservations

·  Minimum of 3 years experience in supervising staff

·  Knowledge of Sabre

·  Able to perform all of the items stated above under Primary Responsibilities

·  Knowledge of ClientBasePlus will be a strong plus

·  Must be comfortable working with multiple points of contact, experienced in maintaining an agenda while managing a number of constituents (managers, agents and vendors) and working with a variety of personalities
