Company: Los Angeles Regional Foodbank is a nonprofit organization that distributes food to over 1,000 charities throughout Los Angeles County. The Foodbank is one of the largest in the country with an annual budget of $7 million, a 96,000 square foot facility, and a staff of 70 employees and 40 volunteers. The Foodbank is located in South LA, 10 minutes east of the Coliseum.
Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent. Insured vehicle with valid California driver license. Computer literate. Good communication skills. Good customer service skills. Ability to work well with people of diverse backgrounds. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience with social service organizations. Ability to speak and write in Spanish desirable.
Job Duties: Monitors prospective and participating agencies according to established guidelines. Submits monitoring reports for all scheduled site visits. Provides technical assistance to agencies regarding the storage and distribution of food, record keeping practices, and maintenance of standards. Prepares monthly activity reports. Assists/attends departmental activities such as the New Agency Orientations and the Annual All-Agencies Conference. Assists in database maintenance, data entry, and other administrative functions.
