Facilitator for Wraparound
The Help Group is the largest, most innovative and comprehensive non-profit organization in the United States to serve children with special needs related to autism, Asperger's Disorder, learning disabilities, mental retardation, abuse and emotional problems. We are currently looking for motivated social workers or MFT's to join our Wraparound Team. Provide support for at risk youth and their families.
Wraparound is a family centered, strength based, positive team approach to working with families that focuses on what the family members do well, and develops strategies that encourage and support these strengths. The team consists of facilitator, child & family specialist & parent partner.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Perform initial and ongoing strengths-based assessment.
•Provide direct services as needed.
•Develop the Child and Family Team and ensure the development of appropriate crisis plans.
•Facilitate identification and prioritize family needs.
•Facilitate Team meetings.
•Ensure development of appropriate crisis plans.
•Interface with DCFS, DMH, court systems, schools and other community liaisons.
•Ensure 24-hour availability and crisis intervention on an as needed basis.
Qualifications:MSW MFT and registered with the Board of Behavior Sciences required. One year experience in community-based social service program working with emotionally disturbed children and adults. Familiarity with principles of family-centered, strengths-based services and group facilitation.Knowledge of the local community. Bilingual in Spanish required.
Therapists seeking hours towards licensure are welcome to apply and can collect hours towards licensure!
A clean driving record and ability to be insured is required. Because The Help Group is a school based agency, a thorough background check is required, including fingerprinting.
