EVENTS MANAGER – LOS ANGELES

Full-time position available for a dynamic self-start to develop, implement and support new and existing fundraising events for a non-profit organization located in our Los Angeles offices. A proven track record in special event fundraising and experience with donor databases are musts. Responsibilities include fundraising, walk and event planning and fiscal management, volunteer leadership, recruitment and training, and corporate sponsorships. Walk experience desired. Must possess excellent verbal/written communication skills, technology, leading and motivating volunteers, detail and ability to work under deadlines. Some weekend and/or night travel required.
Qualifications include:
Bachelor’s degree plus three years of paid experience in event planning with exposure to advertising, publication and promotion development. Fundraising with walk-a-thon experience required. Proficient use of MS Office Suite (including Word, Excel and Powerpoint), desktop publishing and database are required. Must have ability to work closely and professionally with volunteers. Detail oriented, self-starter with a positive attitude.
