There is only one H.E.L.P., anywhere in the United States. Now celebrating its tenth birthday, it has produced strong growth while continuing to create and refine unique and solid programs. H.E.L.P. envisions a future where communities across the United States will have a service like H.E.L.P.

H.E.L.P. seeks an individual to lead the organization to its next level of excellence and effectiveness.

Essential job functions
** Lead and expand the organization
** Develop a strategic plan for growth
** Manage finances and provide fiscal accountability
** Continue commitments of providing educational programs, counseling services and printed materials to older adults, their families and other non-profit agencies
** Establish and maintain current communication with donors, community leaders, organizations and agencies, staff, volunteers and board
** Provide leadership and oversight to fund development, educational programs and counseling services, and web activities
** Supervise a staff of six (four direct reports)
** Report to a highly dynamic and committed board of directors

Knowledge, skills and experience
** Proven track record in leadership, fund development and organizational growth
** Skills necessary to lead and inspire staff, board members and volunteers
** Effective written and oral communication skills
** Strong fiscal management capabilities
** Computer skills, literate in Word, Excel and Outlook

Preferred
** Demonstrated leadership experience within a nonprofit organization (CEO experience very desirable)
** Knowledge of age-related concerns, relevant legislative, public policy and non-profit issues
** Experience in marketing and communications
