Exercise Planner



Start Date:  6 September 2006

 

Location: Rockville, Maryland

 

Description: Individual will design, develop, plan, coordinate, and execute an emergency preparedness / crisis response-type exercise involving internal and possibly external participants for the Food and Drug Administration.  Work involves all aspects of exercise planning to include but not limited to scenario development, integrating mission essential tasks into and developing the Master Event Sequence List and Master Scenario Events List, organizing exercise control activities, planning for and integrating simulation into the exercise, and execution of the exercise.  Exercise may range in complexity from the basic to the advanced.  Individual may participate in the exercise as a mentor / observer-controller or exercise control staff.  Period of performance from approximately Sep 2006 to June 2007.

 

Criteria: Former military MAJ (04) to COL (06).  Skilled organizer, leader, and communicator; proficient with MS Office; requires 2-3 years prior experience in exercise planning and execution with experience in homeland security-type exercises.  Experience in planning and executing complex exercises for large organizations involving simulation preferred.  MEL 4 preferred but not required.  Knowledge of the Food and Drug Administration a plus.  Must possess a Bachelor’s degree.
