Shift Supervisor

RESPONSIBILITIES:  Supervise, coordinate, coach and mentor employees to meet production goals.  Manage employee relations issues. Coordinate on-the-job training for employees within the department as needed.  Monitor and enforce safety and housekeeping expectations within the department.  Confer with other supervisors and managers to coordinate operations and activities within and between departments.  Monitor work activities within the department to insure production requirements, product quality and efficiency are met. 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:  Must have 2+ years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. A college degree preferred.The preferred candidate must exhibit strong leadership skills including a personal sense of responsibility and accountability.  Excellent organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal) are also required.Must exhibit good time-management and prioritizing skills, as well as an understanding of continuous improvement manufacturing principles. Be a strong team playerKnowledge of Lean manufacturing. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
